Day Habilitation

The Arc of Washington County is dedicated to helping those we serve to become vocationally trained to deliver quality work in their area of expertise in a community based environment. Our programs foster the concept of normalization and the integration of individuals with developmental disabilities into the work force.

Day Habilitation services provide meaningful daily activities and interaction to men and women with developmental disabilities. Through a variety of programs, more than 200 adults with developmental disabilities take part in learning activities, vocational training and enjoyable pastimes.

The Phoenix Program provides vocational rehabilitation services for adults who have experienced a brain injury, while the Awakenings Program provides day services for adults with Autism. Rounding out the Day Habilitation services are a Vocational Training Center and a Seniors Program.  A consumer-driven self-advocacy group provides daily peer support to all participants.

For more information about the Day Habitation Program, please contact Gen Harper, Senior Director of Day, Vocational, and Support Programs, at (301) 797-0052 ext. 303
