Adult Residential Services

The Arc of Washington County ensures that people with developmental disabilities have a place to call home. Our Adult Residential Services program provides not just a place to live, but also the best quality of life.

The program currently operates more than 50 residences throughout the county and serves 160 men and women. The services delivered at these sites are designed to effectively meet the needs of those seeking community placement opportunities. Homes are staffed, equipped and situated in such a way that they provide all the necessary supports for persons served to lead fulfilling, active lives in their local community, while encouraging personal growth and independence.

Residential support staff members provide assistance in activities of daily living, recreation, socialization, transportation, health, safety and skills training. Access to nurses, psychological associates and maintenance crews is available around the clock. The Arc’s dedication to meeting client needs on an individual level is evident in each home.
