Adult Residential Services

The Adult Residential Program has over 50 homes to meet the needs of those seeking community placement opportunities.

Children's Residential Services

The Children's Residential Program provides services which are home-like, safe, maximally integrated into the community, and tailored to the particular disability/challenges that each child experiences.

Community Supported Living Arrangement Service  

The CSLA Program at The Arc of Washington County provides a broad range of supports to individuals with special needs. This support can range from outreach assistance and case management to 24/7 supervision in the individual's own home.

Individual Family Support Services

The IFSS Program provides supports to 185 individuals
with disabilities who live on their own in the community
and to individuals who live with their families.

Florida Avenue Vocational Center

The Florida Avenue Vocational Training Center provides pre-vocational life skills development to help individuals with developmental disabilities become a more productive part of society and to provide them opportunities to work to their maximum potential.

Supported Employment Program

Supported Employment is a program designed to enable individuals with developmental disabilities to find lasting employment within the community.

Awakenings

The Awakenings Program was designed to meet the needs of individuals diagnosed with Autism.  This program assists the individuals by assessing their sensory needs as well as vocational needs.  Activities are developed and a sensory diet is developed to assist the individuals in daily life skills, community integration skills, as well as enhancing or obtaining employment.

Phoenix

Phoenix was designed for individuals diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury or Acquired Brain Injury.  This program assists the individual in developing memory skills, employment skills, and educational advancement

DayBreak

The Crossroads Activity Center provides day habilitation services to adults with developmental disabilities. Activities at the center are based on personal choice and may include community- based recreation and socialization, safety and survival skills, computer skills, communication skills, and activities of daily living (i.e. personal hygiene, self care, and leisure activities).

Work Crew

Our Work Crew was developed for individuals that enjoy various outdoor types of employment.  Individuals working in this program earn minimum wage and experience work activities that include:  lawn mowing, wood splitting and delivery, and recycling.  The crew helps an individual to develop team work skills, following directions, and completing tasks within an allotted time.

Medical Day Care

The Florida Avenue Medical Day Care Center is available to any person with a need for nursing interventions and monitoring on a daily basis as prescribed by his/her personal physician.

Stepping Stones

The Stepping Stones Program of The Arc/WC,
formerly under Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program, offers services to children and young adults between the ages of 6 and 21.

Intensive Behavioral Management Program

The Intensive Behavioral Management Program provides
behavioral support services to individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors who are eligible for DDA services in the Western Maryland Region (counties of Carroll, Frederick, Washington, Allegany and Garrett).
