Become a member of The Arc of Washington County, Inc. and join hundreds of others in advocating for people with developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc of Washington County, Inc. operates a wide variety of programs providing an array of critically important services to more than 900 persons with developmental disabilities in our community.  Our dedicated staff of over 560 employees strives to help each individual served to live his or her life with dignity and respect.

A major strength of The Arc movement is that parents, family members and volunteers govern the organization at all three levels: local, state and national.  From these grassroots efforts come the dreams, the philosophy that drives the core values, the ability to shape public policy, and the mutual support that parents provide one another.  The Arc of Washington County, Inc. subscribes to the core values of The Arc, which are:

Membership in The Arc of Washington County, Inc. gives you a voice in making suggestions and/or recommendations that may help us to improve or enhance our programs. It will also afford opportunities for you to become engaged in our advocacy efforts on behalf of persons with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities.
