Title Professional Support I – Stepping Stones, PT
Position Type: PT position
Position Summary:

PT – 20-30 hours per week. Mon.-Fri. between the hours of 2:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. during school year. Some Saturdays. Summer hours Mon.-Fri. during day.

The role of the Professional Support Staff I is to help individuals with disabilities to live/work as independently as possible, reach their goals, develop skills and provide support when required. This position works as a part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the persons served needs.

Qualification Requirements

This entry-level position requires a HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 30 calendar days experience working with autism or related disorder. One year of working with developmental disabilities or a similar population is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license along with three (3) years of driving experience. Title LPN II – HOME BASED – RESIDENTIAL SERVICES – PRN
Position Type: Non-Exempt: PT, PRN
Position Summary:

Will practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in compliance with the COMAR regulations including the Nurse Practice Act and the Developmental Disabilities regulations.  Must be licensed to practice in Maryland.  One year of clinical nursing experience preferred; one year of working with developmental disabilities or similar population preferred.    Must have a valid driver’s license along with three (3) years of driving experience.    Position requires lifting,

Will   work under the direct supervision of the RN Case Manager or designee for all   nursing responsibilities
Ensures   that individuals receive appropriate medical services (medical, dental and   psychiatric appointments; lab and diagnostic studies; medical and dental   procedures, etc.) in a timely manner.
Provides   nursing care to assigned persons served. Observes the condition of the   individual and reports significant changes to the RN Case Manager.
Ensures   the Authorization for Use of Mechanical Supports are completed annually and   when there is a change in supports used; ensuring that Instructions for Use   of Mechanical Supports remain current.
Completes   annual reviews for individuals prior to annual IP including the Annual   Nursing Summary of the individual’s history during the past year.
Ensures   that 90-day authorizations for restraints/sedation for medical purposes are   completed.
Ensures   that nursing recommendations for over-the-counter topical products are   completed by the RN.
Completes   documentation of the assessments to ensure that completed assessments are   available in the home within two (2) weeks of the assessment date.

Position Summary:

Title Technical Professional IV – Behavioral Consultant – IBMP
Position Type: Full Time: Mon-Fri (exempt)
Position Summary:

Provides professional support to the Intensive Behavioral Management Program.  Duties and tasks are varied and moderately complex.  Applies advanced professional skills to the position.  May adapt procedures and processes to accomplish position requirements.  Works under minimal supervision or under the professional supervision of a licensed expert in a particular field, e.g., PHD Phychologist.  Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.  Valid driver’s license along with three (3) years of driving experience required. Job Specific Competencies

Provision of clinical services such as individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy and consultation for program participants.
Keep complete, accurate, timely paperwork, records, and charts as required by DHMH, DDA or other state agency as well as The Arc/WC policies and procedures.
Provide crisis intervention services as needed and as defined by his/her team.
Will supervise and instruct paraprofessional staff in theories methods, practices, and techniques employed in psychological service delivery to the persons served.
Will participate in the development and delivery of behavioral programs and individualized plans for program participants.
Will provide a variety of diagnostic assessment services (under supervision) including selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests to measure cognitive, affective, and psycho-motor domains of persons served.
Will follow the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association in the delivery of services to program participants.
Will provide inservice training for staff on behavioral programs or therapeutic treatment plans as well as individualized intervention plans for program participants.
