Title TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL IV – MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL – STEPPING STONES
Position Type: Part Time: 20 – 29 hrs per week; Mon-Wed – flexible hours.
Position Summary:

Provision and coordination of clinical services such as individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy and consultation for the Stepping Stones program participants. The Stepping Stones Program offers services to children and young adults between the ages of 6 and 21 with Autism and mental health issues. The program is designed to facilitate the development of independent living skills, social skills, self care skills, communication skills and work skills. The program frequently incorporates the use of a “sensory room” into its after-school, weekend and summer care programs.

Qualification Requirements

Master’s Degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university OR Licensed Graduate Social Worker OR Certified Professional Counselor or other Licensed Mental Health Professional OR master’s or Doctorate Degree in Special Education or related field with five (5) years experience provided training or consultation on Autism Spectrum Disorder.. Title PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT VII – TRANSPORTATION – PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Position Summary:

The role of the Professional Support VII- Transportation Program Coordinator is to serve as a hands-on team member providing programmatic scheduling and management of the Day Services vehicles, and transportation needs. This Coordinator will actively monitor and coordinate bus routes, vehicle maintenance and upkeep, and day-to-day transportation for individuals served in Day Services. The Program Coordinator must be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently and monitor programs consistent with the standards set forth by DDA regulations. Types of support may include, but are not limited to: safely transport individuals with disabilities in a vehicle that accommodates 15 persons or more throughout the Washington County region, support in the community, job coaching and training, personal care, support with health and wellness, support to reach outcomes and goals.  This position works as a part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the needs of persons served.

Qualification Requirements

AA degree required plus one (1) year direct care experience OR HS Diploma and two (2) years direct care experience.  Must have a valid driver’s license along with current DOT physical and seven (7) years of driving experience.  Must possess a valid CDL as required by the Department of Transportation and have the capability to safely transport persons served.

Job Specific Competencies

Will be responsible for the coordination of Day Services vehicles, including maintenance and scheduling.
Operates the bus within the guidelines of the Maryland commercial driver’s license handbook which includes proper pre-trip inspection, mechanical failure reports, and vehicle cleanliness.

Position Summary:

Will practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in compliance with the COMAR regulations including the Nurse Practice Act and the Developmental Disabilities regulations. Completes   annual reviews for individuals prior to annual IP including the Annual   Nursing Summary of the individual’s history during the past year.
Ensures   that 90-day authorizations for restraints/sedation for medical purposes are   completed.

Completes   documentation of the assessments to ensure that completed assessments are   available in the home within two (2) weeks of the assessment date.

Will practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in compliance with the COMAR regulations including the Nurse Practice Act and the Developmental Disabilities regulations.  Will serve as the Residential Services Nurse for an assigned group of individuals.

Qualification Requirements

The role of the Professional Support Staff I is to help individuals with disabilities to live/work as independently as possible, reach their goals, develop skills and provide support when required. This position works as a part of a team of staff who will continually assess and meet the persons served needs.

Part time positions available. Shifts to include afternoons into evenings, overnights and weekends. For example: Thursday 10p-8a, Friday and Saturday 10p-9a OR Tuesday thru Friday 2p-9p and Saturday 9a-9p OR work a straight thru shift with sleep time. Numerous schedules that are easy to work with.

Qualification Requirements

This entry-level position requires a HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 30 calendar days experience working with autism or related disorder. One year of working with developmental disabilities or a similar population is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license along with three (3) years of driving experience. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure persons served health and safety.
