Florida Avenue Vocational Training Center Capabilities The Florida Avenue Vocational Training Center provides pre-vocational
life skills development to help individuals with developmental disabilities
become a more productive part of society and to provide them opportunities to
work to their maximum potential. Individuals attending the training center have
the opportunity to learn a variety of work tasks and earn a paycheck based upon
their work performance. The training center is licensed to accommodate up to 200
individuals and operates 245 days per year, Monday through Friday, except
scheduled holidays. Individuals interested in attending the vocational center
must meet the eligibility requirements of and be funded by the Developmental
Disabilities Administration. Vocational Services include; Packaging Services Mailing Services Assembly Services Load/Unloading and Delivery Services Kitchen Help Custodial Services
