Community Supported Living Arrangements Program

Capabilities

The CSLA Program at The Arc of Washington County provides a broad range of supports to individuals with special needs. This support can range from outreach assistance and case management to 24/7 supervision in the individual's own home. Additional services such as nurse monitoring and behavioral interventions may also be provided. Upon entry into the program, an individual service plan is developed which addresses the needs and desires of that individual. Special attention and care is given to assure that the individual's needs and preferences are respected. As a community based service, the CSLA Program works to assist individuals served to become part of their community. Special effort is made to assure that those interested in establishing community ties are able to do so through memberships in church organizations, civic groups or local fitness centers, to name a few. Direct care staff, professional staff and management work in partnership with the individual and the families to assure the individual's goals are met. Persons contracting services from the CSLA Program must meet eligibility requirements of and receive funding from the Developmental Disabilities Administration.
